Everything you’ll need to create your wooden star
Tools
- NanoBlade saw
- Jigsaw (with T 101A0 blade)
- Cordless glue gun
- Multi-sander
- Sanding sheet (G120)
Utilities
- Measuring tape
- Pencil
- Safety glasses
- Screw clamps
Materials
- Wooden board (100 x 2 cm)
- Coarse twine
- Plastic glue sticks (or wood glue as an alternative)
Step 1: Mark the Dimensions
Prepare the wooden strip for cutting
- Use a measuring tape to mark 10 cm sections along the wooden strip.
- Mark these points with a pencil for accuracy.
Step 2: Cut the Wooden Strip
Create the base pieces for the star
- Secure the wooden strip with screw clamps to prevent slipping.
- Using a NanoBlade saw, cut the strip at the marked points.
- You should end up with 10 evenly sized wooden pieces.
Step 3: Sand the Wooden Pieces
Smooth out the edges for a polished finish
- Clamp the wooden pieces securely.
- Use a multi-sander with a G120 sanding sheet to smooth the surfaces.
- Remove excess dust with a hand vacuum or brush.
Step 4: Assemble the Star Shape
Form the wooden pieces into a star
- Using a cordless glue gun (or wood glue), apply glue to the ends of each piece.
- Stick the pieces together one by one to form a star shape.
- Allow the glue to dry completely.
