Step 1: Cutting and Preparing Materials
Shaping the foundation
-
Mark the roof pitch on the back wall using a pencil, connecting the center top to two points 10 cm up from the sides.
-
Cut along the lines with a jigsaw and sand the edges for a smooth finish.
-
Cut the wooden slats:
- 120 x 1 x 1 cm into ten pieces (sizes: 2 x 10 cm, 1 x 18 cm, 1 x 5 cm, 2 x 11 cm, 4 x 13.5 cm).
- 250 x 2 x 0.5 cm into 14 pieces of 17.5 cm each.
Step 2: Building the Back Wall
Stabilizing the structure
- Attach the back wall flush to the base using wood glue, leaving a 5 cm margin on each side.
- For additional stability, screw or nail the back wall into the base with a cordless drill/driver.
Step 3: Assembling the Front and Connectors
Creating the framework
- Use six slats of various lengths to assemble the front section according to the design diagram.
- Glue the front section to the back wall and base, using the 13.5 cm slats as connectors.
Step 4: Attaching the Roof
Adding the finishing touch
- Glue the 14 roof slats in place, overlapping each slightly for a layered effect.
