Sony Group and Astar Network have announced a massive 100 million ASTR token incentive campaign aimed at driving engagement and adoption within the Soneium ecosystem.

Astar Contribution Score Initiative

The Astar Contribution Score (ACS) campaign is designed to reward users who actively participate in the ecosystem. Running from February 20 to May 30, 2025, participants can earn ACS points through various web3 activities, such as:

  • Interacting with decentralized applications
  • Providing liquidity on DeFi platforms
  • Engaging in web3-related initiatives

Users will have access to a 1 billion ACS point pool, where each point will be convertible into 0.1 ASTR tokens. Rewards will be claimable via the ACS website at the end of the campaign.

Incentives and Multipliers

To further boost participation, Sony and Astar have introduced token multipliers for specific assets used in transactions. These include:

  • ASTR transactions: 2x multiplier
  • USDC transactions: 1.2x multiplier
  • USDT transactions: 1x multiplier

The full list of eligible assets and multipliers will be available on the Astar blog.

Expanding the Soneium Ecosystem

The 100M ASTR reward pool will support 40 projects within the Soneium blockchain ecosystem, including Velodrome, Quickswap, SoneX, Kyo Finance, and SoneFi.

Astar Network’s founder, Sota Watanabe, emphasized that the ACS initiative aims to reward genuine contributions, ensuring that incentives go to users who actively drive liquidity and engagement in DeFi and web3 applications.

Future of ASTR and Superchain Integration

The ACS campaign not only aims to increase ASTR adoption but also prepares the token for SuperchainERC20 deployment. This move paves the way for ASTR’s integration across major layer 2 networks, including Base and OP Mainnet.
